How the calculation works

30-day ingredient cost = pack price × daily ingredient amount × 30 ÷ comparable ingredient amount in the pack.

Example: the selected glycine bottle contains 47 g and costs £25.20. At 3 g daily, the calculation is £25.20 × 90 g ÷ 47 g = £48.26 for 30 days.

These figures allocate part of each pack’s price to the ingredient quantity being compared. They are not checkout prices. Buying whole packs leaves unused quantities. Subtotals use unrounded calculations; the 1p adjustments reconcile the displayed rows.

What to know about this comparison

  • Products were selected for premium price per comparable ingredient amount among the listings researched. More expensive does not necessarily mean higher quality. For example, the selected B1 liquid calculates to £41.01, while a Solgar thiamine-HCl tablet alternative calculates to approximately £0.22 at the same amount.
  • Matching uses ingredient identity, form and stated concentration where supported. The ornithine source form, added leaf in the lemon balm product and lack of an independently verified chamomile assay limit equivalence.
  • The saffron calculation uses the manufacturer’s 14 mg per capsule. Its retailer’s serving description differs. Some retailer prices were available through indexed listings only and require reconfirmation before purchase. Prices and availability can change.
  • Fractional capsule and liquid quantities are used only for price calculations. This table is not a supplement regimen or advice to divide capsules or exceed label directions. Opening-life waste is not included.
